A Bosom Friend "The girls read under a large maple on a brisk autumn day."

A Bosom Friend

As a child, I read far more than I socialized. As a result, I picked up some antiquated vocabulary. This sometimes made it difficult to make friends.

A Bosom Friend "The girls read under a large maple on a brisk autumn day."

A Bosom Friend "Nicki looks up from 'Anne of Green Gables'"

A Bosom Friend "Hello!"

A Bosom Friend "Would you like to be my bosom friend?"

A Bosom Friend "Ashley and Chrissy exchange looks"

A Bosom Friend "I am looking for a kindred spirit to be my bosom friend."

A Bosom Friend "Perhaps?"

A Bosom Friend "HUH?"

A Bosom Friend "Maybe next time, Nic."

A Bosom Friend "The girls return to their reading."

BABYSITTTERS CLUB. Only because I didn’t have a Babysitters Little Sisters book to scan.

If they hadn’t read Anne of Green Gables, they probably wouldn’t have made a very cool friend anyway.

I knew you were referencing Anne of GG as soon as I read the title.

Hahaha!!! I’m glad to know that I am not the only one. I suppose that I could say that in a way we are kindred spirits…. :) If I knew you then, I would have chosen to be your bosom friend, you are pretty cool!

Ha! You and I are totally kindred spirits. I STILL talk like that and people STILL think it’s weird.

Oh…. Kindred spirits. I bought just about every LM Montgomery book at B. Dalton’s when I was in third grade, and checked out all the Madeleine L’engle books from the library, and read them at recess.

Oh, how I loved Anne. I’ve also probably watched the show they did on PBS about 100 times. They just aired it last year and I watched it yet again.

I would LOVE to rewatch those! Maybe being sick is a good excuse for a marathon viewing… hmmm…

Definitely do it! It’ll cheer you up in between cough syrup doses.
