Everybody needs a clone. In fact it seems there are a lot of people running around with IOUs for brains so maybe there are more of them out there than we think.
It did really happen. Blandina has always been one of my favorite names. I read about Saint Blandina in a book of saints and just loved the name. I know it’s weird. She was around for a few Halloweens, but she was never a prop. I mean, she was my clone. That’s not scary! ;)
A lot of people don’t know what to make of cheaply-fashioned clones. I don’t think Blandina is scary at all. She was probably a pretty good friend. Clones are usually pretty insightful once you get used to them :)
I was hoping you’d see this one! :) I didn’t want to make this comic, to be honest, but it was specially requested. I still love Blandina. I was hoping other people would share their “monstrous” creations. There’s time! I expect them all to start rolling in soon.
First I love your blog! Congrats! ;)

hUg!
She is amazing!!!
Thanks, I always thought so :)
You scoundrel, you made me spill coffee all over my desk.
Hahaha! That made my morning!
At least you got her dress right!
Yes, I’ve always had a keen eye for such details ;)
I laughed. I think you did a great job, considering she’s only newspaper and duct tape. Also, the typewriter speech bubbles are cute.
Thank you! I really like the typewriter text! It was a suggestion from a very brilliant woman :D
Ah, I laughed so hard at this! You are wonderfully creative. Great post! :)
Thank you! I’m glad Blandina is finally getting some love….

Ha! You might be right!
That’s something I wouldn’t want to run into at night. Glad to see you’ve tweaked your skills a bit. ;) Love your new header art!
Ha… yeah, she caused a number of minor heart attacks. :)
Really, what can duck tape not make?
As I found out in my art classes at college… absolutely nothing. Duct tape is everything.
I think she is fantastic!
Thank you! It warms my heart to know she is appreciated :D
Hahaha! I totally was not expecting the reaction at the end!
:D Now just imagine that happening every day, 6 times over.
AWW! I love the spilled coffee on the carpet!
Thanks :) It was fun to try to make paper look like liquid!
Maybe they will come out with a line of skin-colored duct tape so you can try that project again.
Oooohhhh, now THERE’S an idea!
Love it!
Thank you!
HAHAHAHAHA! :) enjoyed the surprised looks…
:D Thanks! I actually did 4 different versions before I liked the end result!
Oh my god. Don’t tkae this wrong but your Blandina doll might be your best work ever. I can’t believe every kid didn’t have a Blandina.
I was kind of hoping other kids DID have such creations. I wanted to see pictures!
Aw ha ha! Blandina does her best!!
Ha! Yes! Finally, Blandina gets a little sympathy!
Those eek! moments are brilliant. :)
Yay, thank you! I worked for half a day on them!
1. Did this really happen?
2. How did you come up with the name “Blandina?”
3. Did you save her for Halloween?

But, she scared your family members pretty good.
Ha! This makes that Crest toothpaste costume I wore when I was 11 look like a fuzzy widdle bunny rabbit.
:D

Blandina is fabulous. Did you really make that when you were a kid? Obviously all your talent was percolating even way back then!

Catching up, after being away… two of The Middle Sister! Oh happy day.
I love Blandina’s dress! Where can I get one for my clone? ;)
Your work is great. I’m glad I checked it out :)
All we need now are Blandina PaperDolls.
I wonder how long Blandina survived for….
