You kids all used to play “squirrels”, too, right?
Fun fact: Those cut paper Cheez-Its made me super hungry. I almost ate them.

Frame 3 is my favorite! Awesome! No, never played squirrels. We played house – and I was always the dog. I’m sure there is a deep psychological meaning to that…
Thanks, small food is always so much fun to make. I don’t blame you for being the dog– the most beloved member of every household. Plus, you get to eat from a bowl on the floor!
Too cute! My 3- and 5-year olds daily play not only squirrelly-squirrelly, but kitty-kitty, fishy-fishy, koala-beary….yet no matter what the species, it always seems to end up like this….
Aww, how sweet! It must be funny to watch them play :)
A rather clever one, this!
Glad you think so!
Nice.
Thanks!
Squirrels, rabid raccoons, all that.
I adore your new header, and the squirrel expressions are priceless!
“Rabid raccoons!” Inspired!
Hahaha! I love the squirrels. I think my three nephews would have to be wolverines!
Oooh, excellent animal choice!
Love how you did the tree! Also, CUTEST SQUIRRELS EVER!
Thanks! I have a hard time drawing squirrels for some reason, so I practiced for days to get them right. Still not perfect, but…
Lovely! Nope, I never played squirrels…I was an only child for a long while and when my sibling came I was too old to play squirrels or anything…
Yes, those cheez-its look yummy! :)
I’d love to know what kind of imaginary games onlies played!
I used to believe I was Strawberry Shortcake! hahahaha That gives you a pretty good idea of what my imaginary world and friends were like! :D
Aw, my daughter plays with her imaginary friend Strawberry Shortcake all the time. (All the naughty things she gets up to are blamed on Blueberry.)
Loved it. The juxtaposition is priceless!
Thanks! :)
Your endless creativity leaves me endlessly entertained! Squirrels are my tip top favorite woodland critter.
Aw, thanks! :) Squirrels plague me to this day, but I am glad someone likes them!
love it and love that you are back … haven’t seen you in a while
:) I’ve been trying to get back on schedule!
Ha! Love that, squirrelfriends. I’m sure I played that without realizing it.
It was a blast. Foraging for treats from the kitchen without getting caught by mom, finding little hiding places, trying to leap from one piece of furniture to the next, scolding people for absolutely no reason. Squirrels have the life!
Yes, my “meals” consisted of a box of brown sugar that I squirreled away in my metal refrigerator. Ha! I’m lucky I didn’t have uninvited critters in my room!
Brown sugar! Good pick! I will still sometimes sneak a spoonful of brown sugar now and then…
The squirrels need a spin off! Awesome.
Ha! I would consider that…
Brilliant!! :-D
Thanks :D
I just opened my box of Cheez Its :-)
Oh, I am so jealous!
I was wondering where that was going, haha! Your blog is one of my “5 blogs I would take with me to a deserted island,” by the way, thought you might like to know. ;)

Wow, thank you! I’ll go check out the other ones since you obviously have great taste! ;)
Humility. I like that. ;)
Your Creativity leaves me speechless ……. Bellissimo!
Thank you! :D
Squirrels surprised! :D
Heehee!
Hey, just saw your ad: “Baby Baby Stick Your Head In Gravy…” Awesome it is! :)
Thanks! My sister Charlotte did the vocals for that :D
wonderful!
We never played squirrels. In fact I don’t remember playing any kind of animal. I’m with you on those cheese nips, though. You had me riffling through the cupboard looking for some.
My husband is a health nut, so we never have such goodies! Gotta forage through my parents’ cupboards for some :)
I think this is the best one yet, The translation of Nicki in the tree to Nicki on the bed is priceless. And the squirrels are downright evil!
Thank you :) It’s fun to work with evil characters!
This is so great!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Ha ha, this is great! Brilliant transition from tree to bunk bed. And I love how the speech bubble in the first frame makes the tree look like it’s shouting.
I’m glad you think so! I laughed to myself a little making that panel. I like talking trees.
This is awesome!
Thank you! You are too kind :)
They ARE exceptionally life-like Cheez-Its. Some people do eat paper. Then they get featured on the Discovery Channel. I’m just saying… win-win.
Jules, you are so right!
Hello! I found your blog from the Super Sweet Blogging Award you were nominated for by “The Day Dreaming, Candy Eating, Red Headed Bookworm”!
Your squirrelfriends post had me rollin’! I love the artsy-craftsy feel of your blog (including the very awesome graphics in your headers!) I look forward to reading more of your posts!
I want to lick the paper squares of salt off those Cheez-Its. Weird?
Not. I wanted to eat them too!
I admire your creativity. The cut outs and context are hilarious!
