This story always makes my mom roll her eyes and accuse me of making things up while she shiftily looks around the room to see who is buying her story. But no, this really happened and it took ages (probably maybe even half an hour–I don’t know, I never wore a watch) for Mom to come retrieve us with a ladder.
I love the mushrooms … and yes I bet you were starved when you came back up
Oh, my gosh! Ashley looks so pleased with her bottle cap. I wonder if she still has it.
Haha! I once got stuck in a foot of mud once and had to have my dad pull me out of my boots. Not quite as good as a well story though.
Well. I think I would have been scared! I’ve never been much for adventure, or treasure evidently. ;)
Ha ha ha. Great story. Great lighting effect in the well. How did you do it? I also like the details–how the brown dry things at the bottom are smaller in the 1st pic and so much bigger in the 5th.
What an adventure! I feel like my own kids have not had the crazy adventures we had as kids, because everything is so much more “padded” now. We’re so much more careful. Love this one Nicole!
you always have something good..nice
Great blackmail material!
You added some suspense to this story; I was on the edge of my seat, worrying about what would happen next.
I think Chrissy is going to do an impersonation of the Lassie classic…”What’s that Lassie? Timmy’s in the well?” when she finally goes to get your Mom.
I think I would have been a lot more frightened.
OMG, this is too funny! “At least we found this cool bottle cap” totally sounds like something my sister and I would say when we were playing together as girls!
I just came across your blog via. “Recommended Blogs.”
Thank you! I just love kids’ perspectives. It’s always something surprising or good!
